Fountain studio desk

Fountain Television studios (formerly British Sound Film Productions, Associated Redifusion, and LWT TV Studios) were built in 1927, and films and TV shows have been made on the site since then. More recently known as Fountain Studios, where the studio shoots for X Factor and Britains Got Talent have been shot. The site was sold recently for redevelopment so the current series of X Factor will be the last series to be shot at Fountain before the bulldozers move in.

Ed Rousseau, who works at Fountain, has arranged with management an IPS visit to the iconic studios before they close. The unique studio set up allows them to separate the large 13,000 ft² (1,207m²) studio into two studios of 6,500 ft² (604m²) by lowering a large soundproof wall. This must be seen!

X Factor set

Shows made at Fountain include The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, Big Star's Little Star, The Cube, All Star Mr & Mrs, The British Comedy Awards and The Voice: Battle Rounds.

We will see the studios and technical areas, including the sound control areas where Robert Edwards will show us his rig for this series of X Factor.

Numbers for this visit are strictly limited, and tickets will most likely be gone swiftly. We will probably have to draw names to give all who wish to attend a fair chance. Please register your interest on this site. We will inform the lucky ticket winners on Monday 21st evening, and will keep a reserve list so please keep an eye on your emails/texts nearer the day in case you get a cancelled ticket.
