Yves-Marie Omnes presents a fascinating and in depth talk on Metadata.

Yves-Marie Omnes is a working sound recordist working mainly on feature films (The White Crow, Miss Sloane, Transporter 3). He has recently been collaborating closely with Aaton and others on ways to extend the use of metadata, of which his knowledge is extensive.

Have you ever wondered what the differences are between file/disk formats and how they came to be that way FAT 16, FAT 32, UDF, HFS SD2? Why do some DAW's read track names but not others? Why are some files limited to 2Gig or 4Gig? Yves-Marie will take us on a fascinating journey through disk and file formats. He will also look forward to what we might expect in the future.

If you are ever responsible for delivering files that might include metadata (even track names) then this presentation is full of important and fascinating information.
