Fifty years ago, Man set foot on the moon for the very first time. An amazing brave experiment and a testament to the ingenuity of Mankind. Now the IPS pays tribute to this event with a very special evening, “How did they do it, 8 Days: To the Moon and Back”. The programme makers wanted to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of the Apollo 11 crew by asking the sound team to pull out all the stops to create a wonderful soundscape with the original NASA recordings of the Apollo Astronauts and with specially composed music. The IPS is very proud to invite the sound crew back for one night only to tell us “How did they do it ?”
Contributors Music Composers Neil Davidge, and David Poore, Dubbing Mixer, Ben Ormerod and Protools Operator, Duncan Paterson. The chairperson will be our own ( BAFTA winner) Simon Clark who will guide us through this special event.
