This late breaking news just in from our infamous pub landlord (aka Richard Merrick):
Dodging some astute enquiries from HMRC over Covid-19 furlough claims for staff, this is now a totally unconnected pub under entirely new management and is festively named “The Spiced Pear”.
The evening will revolve, unsurprisingly, around “what I did this year” and it would be good if guests could come up with totally un-audio-related skills or even paid jobs that they’ve attempted and/or acquired.
For instance, I was well into being accepted as a Waitrose delivery driver until I did the sums and realised that I could do one “proper” day’s work for a week of their wages AND not have to get up at 4am.
So if you fancy a natter and to find out what the landlord's mystery "entertainment" is put Tuesday evening in your diary (sorry for the short notice).
