Pyers has worked in RF and radio for much of his adult life. As a youngster he worked with some of the infamous Pirate Radio Stations, and then made radio and RF a career, working at Raycom before ending up owning the company. He has worked on all manner of high profile jobs as an RF consultant, like 'Formula One TV' and 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here'

Pyers will be talking us through RF systems, looking at the RF gain structure, how it can help you out, and how it can knock you down.

14:00  Quality Parameters of Microphones

The lecture shows which parameters are decisive for the sound quality of a microphone. Both metrological and perceptual criteria will be discussed.

Helmut Wittek is the CEO of Schoeps Microphones. He worked as a singing teacher before studying musicology, then sound and image technology. He worked at the Institute of Broadcast Technology (IRT) in Munich, before a PHD in stereophony and wave synthesis. He joined Schoeps Mikrofone GmbH in 2007, and has been CEO there since 2009. Helmut still lectures and talks at a number of Universities on microphone technology, stereophony, and 3D Audio.
