DANTE Used in a Real-Life Production Situation.
Stuart Piggot will take time to explain how a recent production ~ “Hijack” (2023, Apple TV+) ~ presented him and his team with many challenges, and how with the early consideration and application of DANTE, he approached and overcame them.
Stuart is an experienced Production Sound Mixer with more than 20 years in the industry. His credited work has covered: scripted narrative, documentary, comedy and drama (W1A, The Witchfinder, Litvinenko).

The Future ~ NOW!
It has been said that "AI will have the greatest impact on the way we live and work, of any innovation since the industrial revolution" In this session, chaired by Martyn Harries MIPS, our panel of industry practitioners and learned souls will share their knowledge on where we are and where we might be going, and discuss how we make sure that we all benefit from AI, rather than suffer any negative consequences. We promise human interaction.
This will be a look at what AI can add to production and post-production processes, whilst also covering what considerations we should all be mindful of as we navigate this technological revolution. The idea is to start off with the panel members giving an introduction to how AI is becoming a part of their work, and then to widen out the debate to discuss how AI is possibly going to change our industry going forward. Obviously it is a transformational technology that is making possible things that only a few years ago would not have been thought achievable, but we should also consider what negative effects there might be and how we can work to avoid those, so as best to all benefit from this exciting technological revolution.
